Galleria Mall Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the Galleria Mall at the corner of Dufferin and Dupont Street will transform the 20-acre site into a high-rise mixed-use multi-residential community.  The phased development will eventually see 8 mixed-used buildings and 2,900 condominium residences, 150 affordable rental housing units and 300,000 sq. ft. of grade-level retail will be incorporated along the newly designed street grid along with an 8-acre park and new community centre designed to activate the public realm.

Stepped and stacked box design

The first phase of the redevelopment of Galleria 01 will pay homage to the areas industrial built form. The 29 storey tower will be clad in dark metal finishes and will feature an articulated stepped and stacked box design. A shared podium will form the connection to Galleria’s phase two tower consisting of 24 storeys.

Retail at grade

Grade-level retail will be incorporated along the newly designed street grid along with a new community centre and streetscape design to activate the public realm. The street-level transition will incorporate double-height retail at grade.
