Club Monaco
Working with the designs of the upscale clothier Club Monaco, CORE’s retail team lead by Partner Gabriela Estrada first began work on their two-level Flagship exterior store located in the Montreal downtown core. The elegant, classic, and luxury store design evokes timeless heritage style and beautifully showcases its easy sophistication, effortlessly chic and functional, affordable luxury clothing and products.
Individually custom store design
Marble, brass fixtures, old-school lighting, tufted furniture, and simple distressed wood accents highlight the architecture of old heritage buildings that the Brand seeks to inhabit to further enhance their lifestyle brand. Each store is individually custom while still carrying the same style aesthetic and is also replicated in major mall centers.
Heritage elements
With the Brand’s lifestyle design concept focused on heritage elements, it was only fitting for Club Monaco to take possession of a heritage site for its flagship store. The challenge was ensuring that the integrity of the original heritage building was incorporated with the Brand’s design aesthetics while also respecting the City’s Heritage Board approval requirements for the exterior façade of the building. Like all Flagship stores, the bar is set high to produce and achieve a show-stopping masterpiece and expectations needed to be met to ensure tasks were realized.
Custom designs
CORE worked with the Brand extensively to ensure that the custom designs, whether it was millwork or fixed architectural elements, met with local code requirements while not compromising the design integrity.
