65 George was designed as an urban infill project, fitting into the local context of heritage and warehouse style buildings

Contemporary intervention

65 George condominium was designed as an urban infill project, fitting into the local context of heritage and warehouse-style buildings, while respecting the overall height regime established for this neighbourhood. The design will read as a contemporary intervention into the neighbourhood and includes saving and restoring the existing heritage building on the corner for retail and multi-residential uses.

Minimal and elegant space

A strong grid consisting of a natural coloured concrete frame and silicone glazed full height windows will knit together the two different styles of existing buildings on George Street. 65 George condominium features an upper portion that is setback to match the existing street wall height, that steps out playfully above the heritage building, reading as an offset building block. The lobby off George St. will be a minimal and elegant space and will establish a strong pedestrian experience of the building.
