Heatwave for SickKids Beach Volleyball Team Challenge 2023

This Summer CORE participated in the Heatwave for SickKids Beach Volleyball Team Challenge 2023. Heatwave for SickKids is a corporate team beach volleyball event and 2023 marks Heatwave for SickKids 29th year of the tournament. The event aims to help fundraise $1.3 billion, the largest in Canadian healthcare history. The VS Limits fundraising campaign supports three key elements: re-imagining the SickKids campus, including building a new patient care centre on University Avenue ($600 million); continuing breakthrough paediatric health research ($600 million); and establishing partnerships for better, coordinated patient care ($100 million). 

On the day two teams represented CORE and were led by Team Captains Partner Brian Laye and Senior Associate Dena Mousapour. Although CORE didn’t make it to the final knock-out rounds, it was an overall fantastic day out, and all for a great cause.

Together CORE raised over $1,000.
